Serving others. It’s how we worship God. It’s how we identify with Jesus. It’s how we show the world that we love each other, that we love them, and that God loves them. Service is real. Service is practical. Service is sacrificial. Service is the hands and feet of Jesus moving and ministering in humility both inside and outside the body of Christ. No act of service is “too big” or “too small” for the follower of Jesus. Here are some ways to get involved at CEV!
Calkids Team
Our Children’s ministry shares the love of Jesus to infants through 5th grade. You can get involved as a teacher or assistant or welcome families at the CalKids sign-in table!
Calvary Youth Team
6th-grade through 12th-grade students are the focus of this ministry. We encourage our youth to know the Word of God, own their relationship with the Lord, and seek the Lord in their everyday activities. Part of serving at Calvary Youth is assisting with small groups, playing games, and encouraging and praying for them.
Creative Media & Communications
We seek to honor God, connect with those in the church, & share the truth of the gospel with the community. This team designs signs and digital artwork, takes photos, makes social media posts, and more to further the gospel.
Greeting Team
The greeting team is often the first face you see on campus Sunday morning! A greeter is a warm, encouraging presence to welcome our church family and new attendees to Calvary East Valley. If you love to meet new people, this is a great place to serve!
Hospitality Team
This team helps provide coffee, refreshments & a smiling face at the hospitality table before, between, and after services.

Music Team
The music team leads the music during our weekend worship services. If you play guitar, piano, or drums or sing harmony and have a heart to lay low and exalt Jesus, while colaborating with other muscians, then this could be an excellent spot for you!
Prayer Team
Our prayer team shows the love of Christ by being available to pray with others from Calvary East Valley at the end of our worship services. If you have a heart to encourage, love, and pray for others, this could be an excellent fit for you!
Setup Crew
The setup/tear-down team helps set up all the equipment needed for our weekend services. The team will set up chairs, organize the children’s ministry classrooms, and connect all AV/tech equipment. After the services finish on Sunday, this team will break everything down and put it back in its proper place.
Security Team
The security team helps to provide a safe environment every week on campus during our worship services.
Tech Team
The tech team is our “behind the scenes” crew while our worship services take place. The tech team runs the soundboard, helps with slides for music and preaching, hits light cues, and operates our livestream. If you are tech-savvy, this could be a great role for you!
Young Adults Team
Our young adults team ministers to the 18-25-year age group, encouraging them to live out their faith. Serving in young adult ministry includes attending a weekly Bible study, assisting with small group discussions, planning monthly events, and attending the annual young adults retreat.
